摘要: 在文化“走出去”的战略背景下,儒家典籍的翻译和海外传播对于坚定文化自信和塑造中国形象至关重要。本研究以《易经》英译本为对象,基于Amazon与Goodreads平台的1009条读者评论,运用Python自然语言处理技术,系统考察了海外受众对《易经》英译本的接受状况。研究发现,读者的关注焦点主要集中在翻译质量、哲学思想及实践价值三方面。大部分读者呈积极态度,认可译本的文化价值、思维启发和语言美感;但仍有部分读者对译本的文本释意和逻辑结构提出意见。本研究可为促进儒学典籍精准传播、推动中国文化“走出去”提供有益参考。
Abstract: Against the backdrop of the “Going Global” cultural strategy, the translation and overseas dissemination of Confucian classics are crucial for bolstering cultural confidence and shaping China’s image. This study focuses on English translations of the I Ching (Book of Changes), analyzing 1009 reader reviews from Amazon and Goodreads platforms using Python natural language processing techniques to systematically examine the reception of English translations of the I Ching among overseas audiences. The findings reveal that readers’ primary concerns revolve around translation quality, philosophical ideas, and practical value. The majority of readers expressed positive attitudes, recognizing the cultural significance, intellectual inspiration, and linguistic beauty of the translations. However, some readers also provided feedback on issues related to textual interpretation and logical structure. This study offers valuable insights for enhancing the precise dissemination of Confucian classics and advancing the “Going Global” strategy of Chinese culture.
