Abstract: Purpose: To explore the application value of colonoscopy in colorectal lesions of close relatives of microsatellite instability (MSI) patients. Methods: A total of 125 MSIs patients’ close relatives from Linyi Cancer Hospital were screened from January 2022 to March 2025, and risk assessment and colonoscopy were performed to further analyze the detection rate and population distribution characteristics of colorectal lesions. Results: Popular science publicity was carried out for close relatives of MSI patients. (105/125) underwent colonoscopy, and the detection rate of lesions was 23.8% (25/105), all of which were non-progressive lesions. The detection rate was higher in males and people over 60 years old. Conclusion: Colonoscopy screening for close relatives of MSI patients can effectively assist in the identification of early lesions, and should focus on men and elderly people.
