摘要: 本文以泰勒·斯威夫特2022年在纽约大学的毕业演讲为语料，从系统功能语法的三大元功能视角分析其语言策略。研究发现，泰勒通过物质过程和陈述句客观叙述经历，增强说服力；使用中值情态动词委婉表达观点，拉近与听众的距离；并利用多种主位推进和衔接手段保持语篇连贯。
Abstract: The present study analyzes the language strategy of Taylor Swift’s 2022 commencement speech at New York University from the perspective of the three metafunctions of Systemic Functional Grammar. The research finds that Taylor employs material processes and declarative sentences to objectively narrate her experiences, thereby enhancing persuasiveness; uses modal verbs of intermediate value for nuanced expression to close the distance with the audience; and utilizes various thematic progression and cohesive devices to maintain the coherence of the discourse.
