A Study on the Interpersonal Meaning of Online Psychological Counselors’ Discourse

摘要: 本研究从人际意义建构的角度，对国内领先的心理健康平台“壹心理”上心理咨询师的话语策略进行了研究。本研究聚焦于咨询师在平台问答部分的精选回答，旨在揭示咨询师如何利用语言资源建立融洽关系，传达同理心，从而促进治疗。本文以系统功能语言学为主要框架，结合评价理论，从语气、情态和人称三个角度研究心理咨询师话语的人际意义建构。语料库由110对问答组成。本研究使用语料库分析工具AntConc对“壹心理”的110个回答进行分析。结果显示心理咨询师最常使用的是陈述句语气(63.6%)提供信息，中等情态动词(82%)表达可能性或建议，第二人称代词(60%)拉近距离。这些语言选择反映了咨询师努力平衡权威和亲和力，创造有利于治疗的环境。本研究丰富了人际意义建构和系统功能语言学的研究内容。研究结果强调了语气、情态和人称的策略性使用，以建立融洽的关系和传达同理心，为改善在线咨询沟通提供了实用的见解。

Abstract: The present study investigates the discourse strategies employed by psychological counselors on YiXinLi, a leading mental health platform in China, from the perspective of interpersonal meaning construction. Focusing on counselors’ responses in the platform’s Q&A section, this research aims to uncover how counselors utilize linguistic resources to build rapport, convey empathy, and facilitate therapeutic outcomes. Taking Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) as the primary framework and incorporating Appraisal Theory, this paper attempts to study the interpersonal meaning construction of counselors’ discourse from the perspectives of mood, modality, and personal resources. Data consist of 110 question-answer pairs. The study employs the corpus analysis tool AntConc to analyze 110 answers from YiXinLi. The findings reveal that counselors most frequently use declarative mood (63.6%) to provide information, medium-value modal verbs (82%) to express possibility or suggestion, and second-person pronouns (60%) to shorten the distance. These linguistic choices reflect counselors’ efforts to balance authority and affinity, creating a supportive and therapeutic environment. This study enriches research on interpersonal meaning construction and Systemic Functional Linguistics. The findings highlight the strategic use of mood, modality, and personal resources to build rapport and convey empathy, offering practical insights for improving online counseling communication.
