多模态话语分析视角下《中国奇谭》字幕英译研究

Study on the Chinese-English Subtitle Translation of Yao-Chinese Folktales from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis

摘要: 在当今全球化与数字技术蓬勃发展的时代背景下，跨文化传播面临着新的挑战与机遇。作为文化传播的重要载体，动画作品在跨文化交流中扮演着日益重要的角色。尤其是动画字幕翻译，作为连接不同文化的桥梁，在促进多元文化相互理解方面具有重要意义。本研究以《中国奇谭》英语字幕为研究对象，采用多模态话语分析的综合理论框架，从文化、语境、内容及表达四个层面对其进行系统分析。本文旨在从《中国奇谭》的字幕英译中吸取经验，为国产动画翻译策略的选择提供有价值的参考。

Abstract: In the contemporary era of globalization and the rapid development of digital technology, cross-cultural communication confronts new challenges and opportunities. As an important medium of cultural communication, animation works play an increasingly significant role in cross-cultural communication. Animation subtitle translation, in particular, which serves as a bridge connecting different cultures, plays a crucial role in promoting cross-cultural mutual understanding. To achieve this goal, this study takes the English subtitles of Yao-Chinese Folktales as the research object, adopts the comprehensive theoretical framework of Multimodal Discourse Analysis (MDA), and conducts a systematic analysis on it from four levels: culture, context, content and expression. The purpose of this paper is to draw experience from the English subtitle translation of Yao-Chinese Folktales and provide valuable reference for the selection of domestic animation translation strategies.
