Abstract: Gentleman education is an educational concept that emerged in modern Europe and represented the interests of the emerging bourgeoisie. With the refinement and development by the renowned British educator John Locke and other educators in the 17th century, it gradually formed a distinctive educational cultural concept. Both British gentleman education and Chinese junzi education are regarded as classics in world education, sharing similarities as well as differences.
