A Comparative Study on the Metaphorical Representations of “Flower” in Chinese and Japanese Idiomatic Expressions

摘要: 本研究通过对比分析的方法，系统探讨了汉语和日语中“花”的隐喻表达及其文化内涵的异同。研究聚焦于中日惯用语中“花”的隐喻意义，旨在揭示两国语言对同一自然意象的不同认知模式与文化映射。本研究为跨文化语言认知提供了理论支持，并深化了对中日文化异同的理解。

Abstract: This research employs contrastive analysis to systematically investigate the metaphorical expressions and cultural connotations associated with “flower” in Chinese and Japanese idiomatic language. Focusing on the metaphorical meanings of “flower” within Sino-Japanese idiomatic contexts, the study aims to elucidate divergent cognitive patterns and cultural mappings projected onto this shared natural imagery across the two linguistic systems. The findings provide theoretical support for cross-cultural linguistic cognition while deepening the understanding of cultural convergences and divergences between China and Japan.
