功能对等理论指导下的字幕翻译策略研究——以《暮光之城》为例

Research on Subtitle Translation Strategies Guided by Functional Equivalence Theory—Taking Twilight as an Example

摘要: 随着全球化的深入发展，不同文化之间的交流日趋密切。电影作为中外文化的交流形式之一，不仅带给国内外观众美学享受，更扮演着跨文化交际的角色。将一部电影的字幕译得精妙，无疑使其更加深入人心。本文将选择《暮光之城》系列电影作为案例，以功能对等理论为依据，从词汇对等、句法对等、篇章对等这三个角度出发，结合字幕翻译的特点，分析译者对于电影字幕的翻译方法，总结电影字幕翻译的策略。

Abstract: With the deepening of globalization, communication between different cultures is becoming increasingly close. As one of the forms of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, movies not only bring aesthetic enjoyment to domestic and foreign audiences, but also play a role in cross-cultural communication. Translating the subtitles of a movie beautifully undoubtedly makes it more deeply ingrained in people’s hearts. This article will choose the Twilight series as a case study, based on the theory of functional equivalence. From the perspectives of lexical equivalence, syntactic equivalence, and discourse equivalence, combined with the characteristics of subtitle translation, it will analyze the translator’s translation methods for movie subtitles and summarize the strategies for movie subtitle translation.
