主体间性视域下的中国戏剧外译——以熊式一《王宝川》译本为例

摘要: 在戏剧外译的过程中,主体间性无处不在。主体间性重在诠释自我与融合他者,其视角更广大,可以对过程进行整体关照,关注译本产生过程中各主体间的交互关系。熊式一先生的《王宝川》译本在海外赢得的非凡成就,正是各主体间紧密协作、和谐共生的有力证明。主体间性理论可以从广阔的外部视角向内部剖析,全面地分析译本成功背后的多元动因。以此案例研究,旨在探讨主体间性为中国戏剧外译提供的宝贵启示,推动我国戏剧典籍英译形成一个融合自我与他者的间性视域,促进中国戏剧的思想内涵和艺术特质在异国他乡的文化土壤中绽放新芽,实现艺术形式的跨越传播,丰富多元文化生态。
Abstract: Intersubjectivity permeates the entire process of drama translation. Emphasizing the interpretation of self and integration of otherness, this broader perspective enables holistic observation of the translation process by focusing on interactive relationships among various agents. The remarkable overseas success of Mr. S.I. Hsiung’s Lady Precious Stream translation stands as compelling evidence of close collaboration and harmonious symbiosis between these agents. The theory of intersubjectivity facilitates comprehensive analysis of multiple contributing factors behind translation success through its dual external-internal analytical lens. This case study aims to explore how intersubjectivity provides valuable insights for Chinese drama translation, advocating for an intersubjective vision that harmonizes self-expression with otherness accommodation. Such an approach enables the ideological essence and artistic characteristics of Chinese drama to take root and flourish in foreign cultural soil, achieving cross-cultural dissemination of artistic forms and ultimately enriching global multicultural ecology.
