Abstract: Ischemic stroke, characterized by its high incidence, disability, and mortality rates, is a disease that severely jeopardizes human health. Remote ischemic postconditioning (RIPC), as a novel intervention strategy, offers new therapeutic approaches for ischemic stroke due to its ease of operation and high safety profile. This review summarizes recent advances in RIPC research for ischemic stroke, including its concept, mechanisms of action, and current research status, analyzes existing challenges, and explores future directions, aiming to provide novel insights and theoretical founda-tions for the treatment of ischemic stroke.
