前景化视角下《简·爱》选段文学性分析与译文对比

摘要: 前景化是一种文体学手法,指通过偏离常规语言表达或艺术形式,使特定文本元素得以凸显,从而吸引读者注意并增强作品的审美或情感效果。在英国文学经典《简·爱》中,夏洛蒂·勃朗特使用大量前景化手法来强化文本的表现力与情感张力,使该作品成为前景化研究典范的同时,也为译者的跨语言转换带来了显著挑战。本文以《简·爱》第一章为研究对象,具体分析原文中“量的前景化”以及“质的前景化”的使用及其效果,并选取祝庆英与吴钧燮两位翻译名家的译本,对比分析二者对这些前景化现象的处理策略,旨在探索原作的语言艺术价值,以及文学翻译中前景化表达的翻译转换方式。
Abstract: Foregrounding is a stylistic device that deviates from conventional language or artistic form in order to highlight specific textual elements, thereby drawing the reader’s attention and enhancing the aesthetic or emotional effect of the work. In the British literary classic Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë uses a lot of foregrounding techniques to enhance the expressiveness and emotional tension of the text, making the work a model for foregrounding research while also bringing significant challenges to the translator’s cross-language conversion. This paper takes the first chapter of Jane Eyre as the research object, specifically analyzing the use and effects of “quantitative foregrounding” and “qualitative foregrounding” in the original text, and selects the translations of two famous translators, Zhu Qingying and Wu Junxie, to compare and analyze their strategies for dealing with these foregrounding, aiming to explore the artistic value of the language of the original work and the translation conversion method of foregrounding expression in literary translation.
