探析接受美学理论在文学文本翻译研究中的应用
An Exploration on the Application of Reception Aesthetics Theory in the Study of Literary Text Translation
摘要: 接受美学理论兴起于20世纪60年代,该理论高度强调读者主体性,认为文本的意义并非作者单方面赋予,而是通过读者的阅读活动生成的。读者的文化背景、亲身经验和期待视野决定了他们对文本的理解。因此,译者需要考虑到目标语读者的期待视野和文化背景,以确保翻译文本能够被目标语读者所接受。接受美学理论为翻译评价注入了新的标准,加之时代发展以及科技日益进步,接受美学的理论框架为分析数字化时代和跨文化翻译中的新现象提供了工具。但由于其高度强调读者主体性,从而导致的一系列主观性问题依旧存在。本文将从接受美学视角出发,通过案例展示该理论在翻译研究中的具体应用,从而分析该理论的实际意义并认识到其局限性,以期为日后的翻译实践产生启发。
Abstract: The theory of reception aesthetics emerged in the 1960s. This theory highly emphasizes the subjectivity of readers and believes that the meaning of a text is not unilaterally given by the author, but is generated through the reader’s reading activities. The reader’s cultural background, personal experience and expectations determine their understanding of the text. Therefore, translators need to take into account the expectations and cultural background of the target language readers to ensure that the translated text can be accepted by the target language readers. The theory of reception aesthetics has injected new standards into translation evaluation. In addition, with the development of the times and the advancement of science and technology, the theoretical framework of reception aesthetics provides a tool for analyzing new phenomena in the digital age and cross-cultural translation. However, due to its high emphasis on the subjectivity of readers, a series of subjective problems still exist. This paper will start from the perspective of reception aesthetics and demonstrate the specific application of this theory in translation research through cases, so as to analyze the practical significance of this theory and recognize its limitations, in order to inspire future translation practice.
