译者主体性视角下的女性角色对比分析研究——《哈利波特与阿兹卡班囚徒》双译本为例

A Comparative Study of Female Characters from the Perspective of Translator Subjectivity—A Case Study of the Dual Translations of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

摘要: 本文以《哈利·波特与阿兹卡班囚徒》的双译本为研究对象，从译者主体性出发，探讨译者在女性角色形象重塑中的作用。通过对玛姬姑妈、特里劳妮教授和麦格教授三位代表性女性角色的具体分析，发现译者的文化背景、翻译经验及目标读者群影响了其语义诠释与策略选择，导致译文中女性角色呈现差异化形象。这种差异不仅影响角色性格的再现，更在一定程度上塑造了读者对女性角色的理解与接受。本文的研究拓展了译者主体性理论在文学作品中的应用，也进一步丰富了对《哈利·波特》系列的学术探讨。

Abstract: This study investigates the translator’s subjectivity in reshaping female characters through a comparative analysis of two translations of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. By examining three representative female characters—Aunt Marge, Professor Trelawney, and Professor McGonagall—the study finds that translators’ cultural backgrounds, translation experiences, and target readership influence their semantic interpretations and translation strategies, resulting in nuanced differences in the portrayal of these characters. These variations not only affect character representation but also shape readers’ understanding and perception of female roles. This paper expands the application of translator subjectivity theory in literary studies and enriches academic discussions on the Harry Potter series.
