Abstract: The rapid advancement of internet technology and transformations in information dissemination have established online media as a vital channel for people to access information and understand society. Traditional models of judging information credibility based solely on content are no longer adequate, making media credibility an increasingly prominent issue. Peripheral cues now play a crucial role in enabling people to quickly assess the credibility of information. Based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) theory and heuristic cues. This study employs the Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM) and heuristic cues theory to examine how news source credibility, comment valence, and user individual factors affect media credibility.
