从《庄子·人间世》看“有用”“无用”论
On the Theory of “Usefulness” and “Uselessness” in “Zhuangzi: The Human World”
摘要: 《庄子·内篇·人间世》的“有用”“无用”论,蕴含深刻的处世哲学。通过颜回、叶公子高、颜阖的经历,以及栎社树、支离疏等寓言,揭示“用”受环境制约,“无用”能转化为“大用”的道理。这一理论以道家思想为根基,“道”为万物之源,倡导“无为而治”,具有鲜明的相对主义特征。它映照并反思当下现实,如社交功利化、职场过度追逐“硬实力”、教育功利化倾向等问题。在处世方面,个体可借“无用”韬光养晦,凭“无用”爱好涵养心灵。从社会层面看,其对社会治理和文化建设意义重大,“有用”“无用”需协同平衡。该理论为个体安身立命和社会发展提供独特视角,彰显传统智慧的当代价值,进一步推动其在现实中的应用。
Abstract: The theory of “usefulness” and “uselessness” in “Zhuangzi: The Human World” (Inner Chapters of Zhuangzi) contains profound philosophy of life. Through the experiences of Yan Hui, Ye Gongzi Gao, and Yan He, as well as fables like the Li Society Tree and Zhili Shu, it reveals that “utility” is constrained by circumstances, and “uselessness” can transform into “great utility”. Rooted in Daoist thought, this theory takes “Tao” as the origin of all things, advocates “governing by inaction”, and features distinct relativism. It reflects on and critiques contemporary realities, such as utilitarian social networking, excessive pursuit of “hard skills” in the workplace, and instrumental tendencies in education. In daily life, individuals can leverage “uselessness” to bide their time and nurture the soul through non-utilitarian hobbies. Socially, it is crucial for governance and cultural construction to balance “usefulness” and “uselessness”. This theory offers a unique perspective for personal well-being and social development, highlighting the contemporary value of traditional wisdom and promoting its practical application.
