《京华烟云》中认知隐喻的汉译研究——以张振玉中译本为例

Study on the Chinese Translation of Cognitive Metaphors in Moment in Peking—Taking Zhang Zhenyu’s Chinese Version as an Example

摘要: 本文聚焦林语堂英文原著《京华烟云》中丰富的隐喻表达在跨语言转换中的核心问题，以张振玉中译本为对象，深入分析其隐喻翻译策略。通过分析直译法、转换法、意译法、省略法在译本中的具体运用，揭示张振玉如何在忠实传递原作隐喻意象与顺应目标语文化及读者理解习惯之间寻求平衡，从而有效传达原作的文学精髓与情感内涵。

Abstract: This study focuses on the core challenges in translating the rich metaphorical expressions from Lin Yutang’s English-language novel Moment in Peking across languages. Taking Zhang Zhenyu’s Chinese translation as its subject, the paper conducts an in-depth analysis of his strategies for translating metaphors. By analyzing the specific application of literal translation, conversion, free translation and omission in the translated text, it reveals how Zhang Zhenyu seeks a dynamic balance between faithfully conveying the original metaphorical imagery and adapting to the target language culture and readers’ comprehension norms to effectively transmit the original work’s literary essence and emotional connotation.
