学术型翻译阐释的副文本路径：西泽治彦《乡土中国》日译本研究

The Paratextual Approach to Scholarly Interpretation of Translation: A Study on Haruhiko Nishizawa’s Japanese Translation of From the Soil

摘要: 副文本作为围绕在译本的正文本周围的附属要素，对于译本的阐释效果具有积极影响。本文基于副文本理论，对中国社会学代表性著作《乡土中国》日译本中的副文本要素进行探讨，认为译本周边添加了形式多样、内容丰富的副文本要素，如译注、译者解题等，这些要素内容极大地拓展了文本的阐释空间，能够对学术型翻译阐释的精度、广度以及深度起到正向的阐释作用。在中国学术与世界逐步接轨的今天，副文本理论有望在学术对外传播领域取得更进一步的应用。

Abstract: Paratexts, as supplementary elements surrounding the main text of a translation, exert a positive influence on the interpretation of the translated work. Based on paratext theory, this paper examines the paratextual elements in the Japanese translation of From the Soil, a seminal work of Chinese sociology. It argues that diverse and substantive paratextual elements—such as translator’s notes, translator’s introduction, and commentary—have been incorporated around the translated text. These elements significantly expand the interpretive possibilities of the text and effectively enhance the precision, breadth, and depth of scholarly interpretation and analysis of the translation. As Chinese scholarship continues to integrate with the global academic community, paratext theory holds significant potential for broader application in the field of international scholarly communication.
