基于提升“看”技能的初中英语教材插图与功能利用策略研究

A Study on Illustrations and Functional Utilization Strategies for Enhancing “Viewing” Skill

摘要: 初中英语教材的插图是一种直观的视觉信息载体，也是一项非常重要的教学资源，蕴涵了教材的相关知识信息和背景。“看”是“视觉素养”的核心成分和关键指标，属于一种视觉能力。我国《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版2020年修订)》提出，“重视现代信息技术应用”、发展学生“在社会情境中，以听、说、读、看、写等方式理解和表达意义的语言能力”。因此，利用对教材插图的研究对培养学生“看”的能力也非常重要。本文以新人教版七年级英语教材中插图为研究对象，探究教材插图在英语教学中的意义和功能，最后从听说读写四个角度如何有效运用教材插图进行说明，更好的培养学生的学科核心素养。

Abstract: Illustrations in junior high school English textbooks are intuitive visual information carriers and important teaching resources, containing relevant knowledge information and backgrounds of the textbooks. “Viewing” is the core component and key indicator of “visual literacy”, belonging to a kind of visual ability. National English Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools (2017 Edition, 2020 Revision) proposes to “attach importance to the application of modern information technology” and develop students’ “language ability to understand and express meanings in social contexts through listening, speaking, reading, viewing and writing”. Therefore, the research on textbook illustrations is also very important for cultivating students’ “viewing” ability. Taking the illustrations in new PEP Junior English textbooks for Grade 7 as the research object, this paper explores the significance and functions of textbook illustrations in English teaching, and finally explains how to effectively use textbook illustrations from the four aspects of listening, speaking, reading and writing, so as to better cultivate students’ core competences.
