基于生态翻译学视角探讨博物馆文物说明牌的英译——以云南省博物馆代表性文物为例

English Translation of Museum Artifact Labels Based on Eco-Translatology—A Case Study of Representative Artifacts at Yunnan Provincial Museum

摘要: 为加强云南地区文化对外传播，提升区域文化国际影响力，本文基于生态翻译学理论，以云南省博物馆少数代表性文物说明牌英译为研究对象，利用“三维转换法”翻译方法，从语言、文化和交际三个维度分析云南省博物馆说明牌英译中存在的不足，并提出改译策略，旨在为博物馆文物翻译提供兼顾文化忠实性与传播有效性的方法支持，从而促进区域少数民族优秀文化的对外传播和交流。

Abstract: To strengthen the cultural outreach of Yunnan and enhance its regional cultural influence globally, this study employs Eco-Translatology to examine the English translations of representative ethnic cultural relic explanatory labels at the Yunnan Provincial Museum. Utilizing the three-dimensional transformation approach, it identifies shortcomings in the translations across linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions. Revised translation strategies are proposed to offer museum relic translation methods that balance cultural authenticity and communicative effectiveness, thereby advancing the international dissemination and exchange of outstanding ethnic minority cultures in the region.
