大语言模型翼助:外语专业学生应用AI辅助学习的现状研究
Leveraging Large Language Models: A Study on the Current Practices in AI-Assisted Learning for Foreign Language Majors
摘要: 大语言模型作为机器学习与自然语言处理技术融合的深度学习模型,是实现人工智能的关键路径。当下,高校外语专业学生借助人工智能辅助学习已成必然趋势。本研究选取不同高校的英语、日语、德语专业学生作为研究对象,通过线上问卷调查与访谈法,收集学生使用AI辅助学习的情况、动机及困难等信息加以分析比较,总结出学生学习现状、行为模式及AI带来的影响。研究显示,外语专业学生使用AI辅助学习工具的频率高、积极性强,但在应用过程中仍存在一些问题。英语、日语、德语专业学生在AI工具选择倾向、使用习惯上存在差异。基于此,该研究探讨了AI助力外语专业学生高效学习的可行性,即通过为学生提供个性化、精准化的学习支持,引导学生更有效地利用AI学习外语。
Abstract: Large language models (LLMs), as deep learning models integrating machine learning and natural language processing technologies, provide a critical pathway to the realization of artificial intelligence. Currently, for college students majoring in foreign languages, the utilization of artificial intelligence for learning assistance has emerged as an irreversible trend. This study selects English, Japanese, and German majors from various universities as research subjects. Through online questionnaires and interviews, it collects and analyzes students’ AI-assisted learning practices, motivations, and challenges, thereby summarizing their learning status, behavioral patterns and the impacts of AI. The research reveals that foreign language majors demonstrate high frequency and strong motivation in utilizing AI-assisted learning tools, while also encountering certain difficulties. Students majoring in English, Japanese, and German exhibit differences in their preferences for AI tools and usage habits. Based on these findings, this study explores the feasibility of AI-enhanced language learning for foreign language majors through providing personalized and targeted learning support to guide them in more effectively utilizing AI for foreign language learning.
