接受理论视域下《心灵奇旅》的汉译本分析
An Analysis of the Chinese Translation of Soul from the Perspective of Reception Theory
摘要: 接受理论确定读者的中心地位,强调在文学作品的创作和翻译中需要满足读者的期待视野从而到达视野融合。并且文学作品的翻译尤其儿童文学作品的翻译需要译者结合读者的身份、文化背景、审美倾向来进行翻译。儿童文学是专为儿童创作并适合他们阅读的文学,具有独特的艺术性和丰富的价值。接受理论为儿童文学翻译提供了一个崭新的理论视角,使儿童的心理特征、理解能力、接受能力、审美倾向成为儿童文学翻译中不可忽视的因素。在《心灵奇旅》的汉译本中,译者以读者为中心在保留原文语言风格的基础上通过翻译策略和方法为儿童读者展示了一个奇幻的世界,同时也为儿童读者传达了生命的真谛。
Abstract: Reception theory determines the central position of readers and emphasizes the need to satisfy readers’ expected horizons in the creation and translation of literary works so as to arrive at the integration of horizons. Furthermore, the translation of literary works, especially children’s literature, requires translators to take into account the identity, cultural background, and aesthetic preferences of the readers when translating. Children’s literature is specially created for children and suitable for them to read, with unique artistry and rich value. Reception theory provides a new theoretical perspective for children’s literature translation, so this makes children’s psychological characteristics, comprehension, receptivity abilities and aesthetic tendencies indispensable in the translation. In the Chinese translation of Soul, the translator shows a fantastic world for children readers through the translation strategies and methods on the basis of retaining the language style of the original text with the readers in mind, and at the same time conveys the true meaning of life for children readers.
