Back and Forth: A Study of the Relationship between Professional-Degree Postgraduates and Supervisors in Colleges and Universities

摘要: 自我国研究生扩招以来，导生关系备受关注。近年，专业硕士占比不断扩大，与之相关的导生关系研究却略有不足。本研究基于质性研究范式，采用访谈法和实物收集法，并借助MAXQDA (2022)质性研究软件，对高等院校专业硕士导生关系的类型及其影响因素进行探究。研究发现，专业硕士导生关系类型主要有导师主导型、距离适中型和有若朋友型三种不同类型，影响因素主要包含导生情感因素、导生距离因素、管理制度因素和导师资源分配四种。对专业硕士这一群体导生关系的进一步认识，有助于优化研究生培养实践。

Abstract: Since the expansion of postgraduate enrollment in China, the relationship between Postgraduates and supervisors has received more attention. In recent years, the proportion of professional-degree postgraduates has been expanding, but the research on the relationship between professional postgraduates and supervisors is slightly insufficient. Based on the qualitative paradigm, this study applies methods of object collection and interviews to explore the types and influencing factors of the relationship between professional-degree postgraduates and their supervisor at the university. The research finds that there are mainly three types of relationships: supervisor-oriented, distance-moderated, and friend-like. The influencing factors mainly include four types: emotion, distance, management system, and teacher resource allocation. Further understanding of the relationship between professional-degree postgraduates and their supervisors is beneficial to the optimization of postgraduate development.
