基于戈夫曼“参与框架”的法庭口译员角色研究
A Study on the Role of Court Interpreters Based on Goffman’s “Participation Framework”

摘要: 随着全球化发展，法庭口译需求上升，法庭口译员角色研究的重要性也日益凸显。传统观点将法庭口译员限制于“管道”的单一角色。本文基于戈夫曼的“参与框架”，采用定性案例分析方法，解构法庭口译员的角色承担机制及其在法庭互动中的功能。本文认为，法庭口译员的角色是动态且多元的，译员根据需要在“发声者”“作者”和“责任者”三种角色之间切换或同时扮演两种或以上角色，以此实现法庭场景下的有效沟通目的。
Abstract: With the development of globalization, the demand for court interpreting has increased, highlighting the growing importance of research on the role of court interpreters. Traditional perspectives tend to confine court interpreters to a single role as a “conduit”. Drawing on Goffman’s “participation framework” and employing a qualitative case analysis approach, this paper deconstructs the role-taking mechanism of court interpreters and their functions in courtroom interactions. It argues that the roles of court interpreters are dynamic and multifaceted. Interpreters switch between, or simultaneously assume, the roles of “animator”, “author”, and “principal” as needed, so as to achieve effective communication in courtroom settings.
