地方性知识在学术汉译中的转化困境与策略——以Metaphors We Live By为例

摘要: 本文以认知语言学学术专著Metaphors We Live By为研究对象，基于杨枫提出的“知识翻译学”理论，探讨学术汉译中地方性知识转化的困境，并提出相应的应对策略。研究发现，该文本在词汇选择、逻辑结构和语言风格等方面均呈现出地方性知识转化的挑战。为实现地方性知识的有效转换，译者可借助“真、善、美”三原则，复现世界性知识和嵌入地方性知识，其具体技巧包括知识的复现、意译以及“保留原文 + 注释”等。这些研究成果不仅为学术汉译提供了实践参考，也进一步拓展了国内学术文本汉译的研究视角。

Abstract: This paper takes the cognitive linguistics monograph Metaphors We Live By as its research subject and, based on Yang Feng’s theory of “Knowledge Translation Studies”, explores the challenges of transforming local knowledge in academic Chinese translation, while proposing corresponding coping strategies. The study finds that the text presents challenges in the transformation of local knowledge in aspects such as lexical choice, logical structure, and language style. To achieve effective transformation of local knowledge, translators can follow the principles of “truthfulness, goodness, and beauty” to reproduce universal knowledge while embedding local knowledge. Specific techniques include faithful reproduction, free translation, and “retaining the original text with annotations”. These findings not only provide practical reference for academic Chinese translation but also further expand the research perspective on academic text translation in China.
