Abstract: Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 is a pivotal work in which Marx, through examining the realities of capitalist society, exposes the dire conditions of the working class and systematically articulates his key philosophical and economic ideas. Discussions on freedom permeate the text, where Marx critiques and synthesizes prior philosophical thought to propose a practice-based concept of freedom. He concurrently analyzes alienated labor and private property as barriers to achieving freedom, ultimately revealing communism as the path to its realization. Marx’s profound discourse on freedom in the Manuscripts holds significant contemporary relevance for advancing social equity and common prosperity, fostering the free and well-rounded development of individuals, and realizing the ideals of a communist society.
