初中英语课堂学生口语表达恐惧的调查研究

摘要: 调查发现,部分初中学生在英语课堂中畏惧用英语表达,逐渐形成了“哑巴”式的英语学习模式,这影响了英语学习的效果和初中英语教学目标的达成。我们通过问卷调查进行了研究和分析,总结了初中生英语口语表达恐惧的原因主要有:(1) 英语基础薄弱;(2) 害怕出错;(3) 心理因素;(4) 知识运用问题;(5) 语言环境。研究提出以下教学策略来帮助学生克服这种恐惧现象:(1) 听说优先,减少板书;(2) 创新作业模式——趣味配音、视频打卡、家庭互动作业;(3) 创新课堂提问和抢答模式;(4) 改善课堂纠错环节;(5) 奖励机制促进英语表达能力。本研究有助于教师引导初中生应对和解决英语口语表达问题,从而激发学生的学习兴趣和提高学生英语学习的效率。
Abstract: The investigation reveals that some students of junior high school are afraid to express themselves in English classes which form the “dumb” English model gradually. This has affected the effectiveness of English learning and the achievement of the goals for English teaching in junior high school. We conducted research and analysis via a questionnaire survey and summarized the main reasons for junior high school students’ fear of speaking English: (1) Weak foundation in English; (2) Being afraid of making mistakes;(3) Psychological factors; (4) The issues of applying knowledge; (5) Language environment. The study proposes the following teaching strategies to help students overcome this fear phenomenon: (1) Prioritize the listening and speaking, and reduce the blackboard writing; (2) Innovate homework models-Fun dubbing, video check-in, and family interaction homework; (3) Innovate questioning and quick-response modes in the class; (4) Improve the error correction process in the class; (5) The reward mechanism promotes English expression capability. This research contributes to teachers to guide junior high school students in dealing with and solving problems related to English oral expression, thereby stimulating students’ interest in learning and enhancing their efficiency in English study.
