基于译者行为批评理论的旅游景点介绍英译研究——以喀什盘橐城为例

A Study on the English Translation of Tourist Attraction Introductions Based on Translator Behavior Criticism—A Case Study of Pantuo City in Kashi

摘要: 喀什盘橐城既是喀什历史文化传承的核心载体，也是各民族交流融合平台与多元文化纽带，其加速了东西方物质文明与精神文明的双向流动，深刻地影响了此后西域的历史发展进程和欧亚大陆的文明交流格局，因此其景点介绍英译能够有效推动中国文化“走出去”。本文基于周领顺教授的译者行为批评理论，运用“求真–务实”连续统评价模式，对盘橐城的英译介绍进行分析。旅游翻译不仅涉及语言层面的转换，更体现译者基于目标读者认知、文化适应和旅游传播目的的行为选择。本文旨在揭示译者在“求真”与“务实”之间的动态平衡策略。

Abstract: Pantuo City in Kashi serves not only as a core vehicle for the preservation of Kashi’s historical and cultural heritage but also as a platform for ethnic exchange and a nexus of multicultural interaction. It significantly facilitated two-way flows of material and spiritual civilization between the East and the West, profoundly influencing the historical development of the Western Regions and the pattern of civilizational exchange across Eurasia. Hence, the English translation of its introduction plays a vital role in promoting Chinese culture’s “going global” initiative. Based on Professor Zhou Lingshun’s Translator Behavior Criticism, this study applies the “truth seeking-utility attaining” continuum model to analyze the English translation of Pantuo City’s introduction. Tourism translation involves not only linguistic transference but also reflects the translator’s behavioral choices, shaped by target readers’ cognition, cultural adaptation, and tourism communication purposes. This paper aims to reveal the dynamic balancing strategies adopted by translators between “truth seeking” and “utility attaining”.
