Abstract: Hyperuricemia (HUA) is a disease caused by a disorder of purine metabolism in the human body. Elevated uric acid levels can induce a variety of systemic diseases in the body, posing a serious threat to health. It has been well documented that hyperuricemia damages the cardiovascular and renal organs. In recent years, more and more studies have found that high uric acid levels are strongly associated with female reproductive disorders. The aim of this paper is to systematically investigate the effects of hyperuricemia on female reproductive function and its possible mechanisms, starting from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis (EM) and infertility, so as to provide a brand-new theoretical basis and clinical strategy for the early prevention and treatment of hyperuricemia and the protection of female reproductive health.
