Abstract: Cushing’s syndrome is an endocrine disorder caused by chronic excessive secretion of cortisol from the adrenal cortex, posing significant challenges in both diagnosis and treatment. This article reviews the fundamental theories, pathogenesis, etiological classification, clinical manifestations, diagnostic approaches, and therapeutic strategies for Cushing’s syndrome, emphasizing the importance of research on rare diseases. Through comprehensive treatment methods, the prognosis of patients with Cushing’s syndrome can be significantly improved. However, ongoing research remains essential to explore more effective and safer therapeutic interventions.
