A Study on Female Ideology in Chaozhou Songbook “Guban Su Liuniang: The Complete Ballad”—Analysis Based on Female Image Construction and Ethical Tension

摘要: 以潮州歌册《古板苏六娘全歌》为切入口，将本体研究和女性思想相结合，通过四类女性形象——顺从的闺秀、叛逆的抗争者、矛盾的母亲与机智的侍女，揭示清末潮汕女性在旧礼教与民间智慧间的生存挣扎。她们用方言暗喻、巫术血誓、诉讼抗争等手段撕开伦理裂缝，却难逃被家族物化为婚姻商品的命运，反抗的局限源于宗族经济的捆绑与权力体系的压制。这些故事印证了传统女性解放的未完成性，在守护文化根脉的同时探索平等新路，为女性研究提供新视角。

Abstract: Taking the Chaozhou songbook “Guban Su Liuniang: The Complete Ballad” as a focal point, this study integrates textual analysis with female ideology to explore four archetypal female figures: obedient boudoir ladies, rebellious resisters, conflicted mothers, and resourceful maids. These portrayals unveil the survival struggles of Chaoshan women in the late Qing Dynasty, caught between old patriarchal norms and folk wisdom. Through strategies such as dialect metaphors, witchcraft blood oaths, and litigation resistance, these women exposed ethical fissures in feudal ethics, yet remained trapped in familial commodification as marital chattel. The limitations of their resistance stemmed from clan-based economic entanglements and suppression by patriarchal power structures. These narratives exemplify the unfinished nature of traditional female liberation, advocating for the preservation of cultural heritage while forging egalitarian paths forward, offering fresh perspectives for feminist studies.
