接受美学视角下音乐剧字幕翻译分析——以《歌剧魅影》为例
An Analysis of the Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Reception Aesthetics—A Case Study of The Phantom of the Opera
摘要: 本文以《歌剧魅影》25周年诸神字幕组翻译版为例,将接受美学理论运用于音乐剧的字幕翻译,对字幕翻译如何满足读者的期待视野开展研究。研究认为,字幕翻译可以有效运用归化和异化的翻译策略满足读者的定向期待和创新期待,为字幕翻译工作提供了新的美学评价角度,有利于拓展接受美学的研究领域。
Abstract: Taking The Phantom of the Opera translated by Zhushen fansub as an example, this paper applies reception theory to the subtitle translation of musicals and conducts a study on how subtitles can meet audiences’ horizons of expectations. It concludes that subtitle translation can effectively use the strategies of domestication and foreignization to meet readers’ directed expectations and creative expectations, which provides a new esthetic evaluation perspective for subtitle translation work and helps expand the research field of reception theory.
