摘要: 河西走廊古代壁画中的水波纹样，见证了丝绸之路上多元文明的交融与创新，在干旱少雨的河西地区，壁画中却充满流动水纹，这种艺术上的“反向表达”实为一种文化补偿机制，揭示了古代先民对水资源的深切渴望与精神寄托。在此处，水作为生命之源具有特殊的意义，壁画中的水纹图像既是对自然之水的艺术表现，更是对生命之源的礼赞与理想世界的建构。从北朝到西夏，不同时期的水纹图像呈现出鲜明的时代特征和艺术风格，既反映了绘画技法的演进历程，也体现了不同民族的审美观念和文化信仰。这些水纹图像或写实，或抽象，或经过艺术重构，在表现水的自然形态的同时，也承载着丰富的象征意义和文化内涵，水纹的演变轨迹证明，丝绸之路上的艺术交流并非简单模仿，而是持续的解码、重组与再创造的过程。

Abstract: The water ripple patterns in ancient murals of the Hexi Corridor bear witness to the fusion and innovation of diverse civilizations along the Silk Road. In the arid and rain-scarce Hexi region, the murals are filled with flowing water ripples. This artistic “reverse expression” serves as a cultural compensation mechanism, revealing the ancient ancestors’ deep longing and spiritual sustenance for water resources. Here, water, as the source of life, holds a special significance. The water pattern images in the murals are not only artistic representations of natural water but also a tribute to the source of life and the construction of an ideal world. From the Northern Dynasties to the Western Xia, water pattern images from different periods exhibit distinct characteristics of the times and artistic styles, reflecting not only the evolution of painting techniques but also the aesthetic concepts and cultural beliefs of different ethnic groups. These water pattern images, whether realistic, abstract, or artistically reconstructed, not only depict the natural form of water but also carry rich symbolic meanings and cultural connotations. The evolutionary trajectory of water ripples proves that artistic exchanges on the Silk Road were not simply imitation but a continuous process of decoding, restructuring, and recreation.
