从福柯哲学看教育中的自由与规训
Freedom and Discipline in Education from the Perspective of Foucault’s Philosophy
摘要: 本文基于福柯的权力理论,深入剖析教育领域中自由与规训的复杂关系。文章首先概述了福柯关于权力与规训的核心思想,指出权力并非仅存在于宏观层面,而是渗透于教育等微观领域,通过规训技术实现对个体的控制与塑造。在教育场景中,空间布局、时间安排和标准化考试等规训手段,不仅规范了学生的行为,还内化为学生的自我管理机制。与此同时,文章探讨了自由教育理念,强调其在培养学生独立思考与创造力方面的重要性,并分析了自由教育在现代社会中面临的诸多挑战。规训与自由并非绝对对立,而是在权力关系中相互交织,学生可在规训框架内寻求自由发展,实现自我超越。这一研究为理解教育中的权力运作提供了新的视角,也为寻求规训与自由的平衡点、促进学生全面发展提供了理论支持。
Abstract: Based on Foucault’s theory of power, this paper deeply analyzes the complex relationship between freedom and discipline in the field of education. Firstly, it summarizes Foucault’s core ideas on power and discipline, pointing out that power is not only present at the macro level but also permeates micro domains such as education, where it controls and shapes individuals through disciplinary techniques. In educational settings, disciplinary measures such as spatial layout, time arrangement, and standardized tests not only regulate students’ behaviors but also internalize into their self-management mechanisms. Meanwhile, the paper explores the concept of liberal education, emphasizing its importance in fostering independent thinking and creativity among students, and analyzes the numerous challenges it faces in modern society, including individual alienation, the double-edged sword effect of digital technology, cross-cultural adaptation difficulties, and the utilitarian tendency in education. Ultimately, the paper argues that discipline and freedom are not absolutely opposed but interwoven within power relations, and that students can seek freedom within the disciplinary framework to achieve self-transcendence. This research provides a new perspective on the operation of power in education and offers theoretical support for seeking a balance between discipline and freedom to promote the all-round development of students.
