Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Services at the Primary Care Level: A Study on Healthcare Professionals’ Current Perceptions, Needs, and Strategies for Meeting Them

摘要: 目的：探究基层医务人员对中医健康服务的认知、实践、态度及需求，为推动中医健康服务在基层的发展提供策略依据。方法：采用问卷调查法，针对南部县的基层医务人员展开调查，共发放110份问卷，回收有效问卷110份，有效回收率为100%。运用统计学方法对数据进行整理分析。结果：基层医务人员对中医健康服务有一定认知与信任，但存在中医药知识掌握不足、政策了解不够等问题。中医健康服务在基层应用广泛，但面临技术操作、资源配套等困难。医务人员对中医药疗效认可，自身知识不足是影响服务使用的主要因素。同时，医务人员有强烈学习需求，期望通过多种培训提升能力。结论：应加强培训学习、完善政策支持、优化资源配置、加强宣传推广及强化监督考核管理，以满足基层医务人员需求，促进中医健康服务在基层的可持续发展。

Abstract: Objective: To investigate primary healthcare practitioners’ perceptions, practices, attitudes, and needs regarding traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) health services, thereby providing strategic insights for advancing TCM health services at the grassroots level. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among primary healthcare practitioners in Southern County. A total of 110 questionnaires were distributed, with 110 valid responses collected, yielding a 100% response rate. Statistical methods were employed for data collation and analysis. Results: Primary healthcare practitioners demonstrated a degree of awareness and trust in TCM health services, though issues such as insufficient mastery of TCM knowledge and inadequate understanding of relevant policies were identified. TCM health services are widely applied at the primary level, yet face challenges including technical implementation and resource allocation. Practitioners acknowledged the efficacy of TCM therapies, with their own knowledge gaps emerging as the primary factor influencing service utilisation. Concurrently, practitioners expressed strong learning needs, seeking enhanced capabilities through diverse training programmes. Conclusion: Strengthening training programmes, refining policy support, optimising resource allocation, enhancing publicity and promotion, and reinforcing supervision and assessment management are essential to meet the needs of primary healthcare personnel and promote the sustainable development of TCM health services at the grassroots level.
