目的论视角下古诗翻译探究——对比《绝句》的三个译本

A Study on the Translation of Ancient Chinese Poems from the Perspective of Skopos Theory—A Comparison of Three Translated Versions of “A Quatrain”

摘要: 本文是一篇古诗翻译探究论文，翻译文本来自三位译者所翻译的古诗的英文版本，古诗素材为唐代诗人杜甫的《绝句(两个黄鹂鸣翠柳)》。对该诗的翻译可作为文化输出的桥梁，会有一定的难度，但对促进跨文化交际具有重大意义。文本选取了中国翻译家许渊冲和黄新渠，以及外国翻译家David Hinton的英译本，从目的论视角下对比他们翻译该诗时采用的翻译策略，旨在探究中外译者进行古诗翻译的差异，并启发其他古诗译者。

Abstract: This paper is an exploration of classical poetry translation. The translation texts are taken from the English versions of ancient Chinese poems translated by three translators. The ancient poem material is “A Quatrain (Two golden orioles sing amid the willows green)” by Fu Du, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. Translating this poem, which serves as a bridge for cultural export, poses certain difficulties but holds great significance for facilitating intercultural communication. The text selects the English translations of Chinese translators Yuanchong Xu and Xinqu Huang, as well as that of foreign translator David Hinton. From the perspective of Skopos Theory, it compares the translation strategies adopted by them when translating this poem, aiming to explore the differences in ancient poem translation between Chinese and foreign translators and to inspire other translators.
