An Overview of Fromm’s Thought on Love

摘要: 在资本主义快速发展过程中出现了人们的生存价值发生扭曲的现象，弗洛姆对此进行观察和思考，其爱的思想初步形成。在深入分析马克思社会革命理论的基础上，弗洛姆爱的思想理论进一步成熟。人的生存需要、生存困境和独立人格是弗洛姆爱的思想形成的主要逻辑，弗洛姆爱的思想合理性体现在对关于爱的相关问题作出的科学回答，当然也存在局限性需要辩证对待。在当下，弗洛姆爱的思想对中国和谐社会的构建、促进人的全面发展和培育现代人宽广的博爱胸怀具有重要的启示作用。

Abstract: During the rapid development of capitalism, there arose a phenomenon in which people’s values of existence became distorted. Fromm observed and reflected on this, leading to the preliminary formation of his ideas on love. Based on an in-depth analysis of Marx’s theory of social revolution, Fromm’s theory of love further matured. Human needs, existential dilemmas, and independent personality are the main logical foundations for the formation of Fromm’s thoughts on love. The rationality of Fromm’s ideas on love is reflected in the scientific responses to questions related to love, although there are limitations that need to be approached dialectically. Today, Fromm’s thought on love provides important insights for the construction of a harmonious society in China, promoting the all-around development of individuals, and cultivating a broad spirit of humanistic love in modern people.
