Cyber Verbal Violence: Phenomena and Governance

摘要: 网络语言暴力现象作为数字时代的新型暴力，严重威胁网络生态与社会文明。本文以网络语言暴力现象中的高频字词为研究语料，聚焦网络语言暴力现象及其治理问题。研究明确了网络语言暴力现象的三重含义，揭示詈语滥用、一般词汇污名化、威胁语与诅咒语、语言异化四类暴力语言的言语特征，明确其对语言规范与社会伦理的双重挑战。最后在遵循语言发展规律的基础上，从政府、社会、个人三个维度提出协同治理方案，以期为构建健康和谐的网络环境提供理论支持和实践指导。

Abstract: As a new form of violence in the digital age, cyber verbal violence poses a serious threat to the online ecosystem and social civility. This study employs high-frequency words and phrases from instances of cyber verbal violence as linguistic corpora, focusing on the phenomenon itself and its governance. The research clarifies the tripartite definition of cyber verbal violence, revealing the linguistic features of four types of violent expressions: abusive language, stigmatization of common vocabulary, threats and curses, and linguistic alienation. It highlights the dual challenges these phenomena pose to linguistic norms and social ethics. Finally, based on the principles of language development, the study proposes a collaborative governance framework involving government, society, and individuals, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for building a healthy and harmonious online environment.
