Abstract: As a central topic in positive psychology, the formation mechanisms of subjective well-being (SWB) have long attracted scholarly attention. Psychological capital (PsyCap), as a highly malleable positive psychological resource, is regarded as a crucial psychological foundation for promoting well-being. This paper systematically reviews the multiple psychological mechanisms through which PsyCap influences SWB and proposes an integrative framework illustrating how PsyCap affects SWB via four interconnected pathways—cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social-resource mechanisms. The review aims to provide both theoretical insight and practical implications for future research on subjective well-being.
