基于主题探究的高中英语单元整体教学——以人教版高中必修一Unit 2“Travelling Around”为例
Theme-Based Integrated Unit Teaching in Senior High School English—A Case Study of Unit 2 “Travelling Around” from the PEP Compulsory 1 Textbook
摘要: 《普通高中英语课程标准(2017年版2020年修订)》强调英语教学需以主题为引领整合多维度教学要素,而当前高中英语教学存在单元主题挖掘浅、教学目标无递进性、教学活动碎片化等问题,难以支撑核心素养落地。文章以人教版高中英语必修一Unit 2“Travelling Around”为例,探究高中英语单元整体教学设计与实施路径:明确单元主题与子主题;设计递进式教学目标,合理安排课时;依据英语学习活动观开展教学活动。通过以上路径,引导学生探究旅行主题的文化内涵与价值。研究表明,该教学模式能打破传统碎片化教学局限,促进学生语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力的融合发展,为高中英语核心素养培育提供有效实践路径。
Abstract: The “English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools (2017 Edition, 2020 Revision)” emphasizes that English teaching should be theme-guided to integrate multi-dimensional elements. However, current teaching practices often suffer from superficial thematic exploration, a lack of progressive teaching objectives, and fragmented instructional activities, which hinder the effective cultivation of students’ key competencies. Using Unit 2 “Travelling Around” from the People’s Education Press (PEP) Senior High School English Compulsory 1 as a case study, this paper explores the design and implementation of an integrated unit teaching approach. This involves defining the unit theme and sub-themes, designing progressive teaching objectives with a reasonable class-hour arrangement, and implementing teaching activities based on the English Learning Activity Concept. Through this pathway, students are guided to explore the cultural connotations and values embedded in the theme of travel. Research indicates that this teaching model can overcome the limitations of traditional fragmented instruction, promoting the integrated and holistic development of students’ linguistic competence, cultural awareness, thinking quality, and learning capacity. It thus provides an effective, practical pathway for fostering key competencies in senior high school English education.
