体认翻译学视角下《浮生六记》林语堂英译本研究
A Study on Yutang Lin’s Translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life from the Perspective of Embodied-Cognitive Translatology
摘要: 20世纪80年代以来,西方译介拉开翻译认知研究的序幕,并提出认知翻译学。近年国内以王寅教授为代表的团队在此基础上融入辩证唯物论对“现实与认知关系”的阐释,将“认知翻译学”修补为“体认翻译学”。体认翻译学以“现实–认知–语言”互动为核心,强调翻译是译者基于身体体验、认知体验与文化体认的创造性转化——译者通过自身感官感知、知识结构与文化共情,搭建源语与目的语的意义桥梁。本文以体认翻译学为框架,聚焦林语堂英译《浮生六记》,通过文本细读与译者体验溯源,剖析其如何将个人对中西生活、文化、情感的体认融入翻译策略,论证“体认驱动”翻译对中国文学经典海外“共情式传播”的关键作用。
Abstract: Since the 1980s, Western translation studies have initiated cognitive approaches to translation, leading to the emergence of cognitive translatology. Recently, a team led by Professor Yin Wang in China integrated dialectical materialism’s interpretation of the “relationship between reality and cognition”, refining “cognitive translatology” into “embodied-cognitive translatology”. Centered on the “reality-cognition-language” interaction, this framework emphasizes translation as a creative process driven by the translator’s physical, cognitive, and cultural experiences. Through sensory perception, knowledge structures, and cultural empathy, translators bridge meaning between source and target languages. This study applies embodied-cognitive translatology to analyze Yutang Lin’s translation of Six Chapters of a Floating Life. By examining the text and tracing Lin’s personal experiences, it explores how his embodied understanding of Chinese and Western life, culture, and emotions shaped his translation strategies, highlighting the crucial role of “embodied-cognition-driven” translation in fostering empathetic global reception of Chinese literary classics.
