Advances in Postoperative Analgesic Management Following Pulmonary Wedge Resection
Abstract: Pulmonary wedge resection is a minimally invasive procedure widely used for pulmonary conditions, and the importance and complexity of postoperative pain management in this context represent a significant focus of clinical research. Postoperative pain not only impacts early recovery but may also lead to chronic pain, further reducing patients’ quality of life. In recent years, with advancements in analgesic techniques and medications, approaches for managing pain after pulmonary wedge resection have evolved considerably. This article reviews current clinical application strategies for analgesia following pulmonary wedge resection, including conventional pharmacological analgesia, regional nerve block techniques, and the efficacy and safety of multimodal analgesic strategies. It analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various analgesic methods and explores the optimization of individualized analgesic protocols. The aim is to provide clinicians with evidence-based insights to further standardize and refine postoperative analgesic management, thereby enhancing the quality of recovery and life for patients after pulmonary wedge resection.
