“新育妈妈”的月子会所消费选择及身份重塑

摘要: 本研究月子会所,通过实地观察、半结构化访谈及个案分析,探讨25~35岁初次生育的“新育妈妈”群体的消费选择逻辑及其身份重塑机制。研究发现,新育妈妈选择月子会所本质是应对现代性结构性压力的策略实践:其一,寻求专业指导与系统化知识,会所以医疗监测设备、风险话语解构代际经验,将消费包装为规避健康风险的理性选择;其二,缓解母职焦虑,通过婴儿集中看护等服务将情感劳动商品化,实现“部分照顾分担”;其三,规避家庭关系风险,以空间隔离和“科学中介”角色缓冲代际冲突;其四,弥补家庭支持不足,职业女性借此缩短产后恢复周期以降低职业中断风险。月子会所作为社会性阈限空间,通过三重路径重构母职身份:首先,身体医学化规训,以标准化医疗监控(恶露记录、盆底肌修复等)取代主观经验,推动身体从“经历分娩的女性”转向“掌握一定科学知识的母亲”;其次,内化科学话语,借助专业互动将产后康复建构为知识系统工程;最后,阈限仪式整合,通过封闭管理、28~42天周期化时间规训及结业派对等“仪式活动”,完成从社会角色剥离到“再融入”为现代母亲的过渡。研究表明,月子会所的兴起不仅标志产后护理从“家庭私域”向“市场公域”的转移,更揭示了消费主义对传统性别角色的重塑——以市场化专家系统替代家庭权威,并将母职重构为以“科学育儿”与“身体管理”为核心的新型规范。
Abstract: This study investigates postnatal care centers, exploring the consumption logic and identity transformation of first-time “new mothers” aged 25~35. Findings reveal their choice is a strategic response to modern structural pressures: (1) seeking professional, systematic knowledge, where centers use medical monitoring and risk discourse to frame consumption as a rational health choice; (2) alleviating maternal anxiety by com-modifying care (e.g., group infant care); (3) avoiding family conflict via spatial segregation and acting as a “scientific mediator”; and (4) compensating for lacking family support, enabling quicker recovery to reduce career disruption risks. As a social liminal space, these centers reshape motherhood through: (a) medicalized body discipline (e.g., standardized checks), transitioning women from “birthing bodies” to “knowledgeable mothers”; (b) internalizing scientific discourse, reframing recovery as a knowledge-based project; and (c) liminal rituals (e.g., enclosed stays, graduation events) guiding the transition into modern motherhood. The rise of these centers marks a shift of postpartum care from the familial to the market sphere, demonstrating consumerism’s role in reshaping gender roles—replacing family authority with expert systems and redefining motherhood around “scientific parenting” and “body management.”
