数字化背景下的职场错失恐惧:理论机制、双重后果与前沿展望
Workplace Fear of Missing Out in the Digital Context: Theoretical Mechanisms, Dual Consequences, and Future Outlook
摘要: 本研究想要探讨数字化职场内的关键心理现象——职场错失恐惧,以厘清其理论机制、影响因素以及复杂后果,本文首先给职场错失恐惧的概念下了定义,且依照资源保存理论、社会比较理论等四项理论框架,全面剖析了其内在机制,基于技术、组织环境和个体特质等多个范畴,整理了职场错失恐惧的多个驱动要素。研究结果证实,职场错失恐惧呈现出明显的“双刃剑”效果:它是引发工作倦怠、感觉负担过重以及信息安全意识下降的关键压力源;处于适度的情形下,它也能作为积极的带动力量,拉动组织创新与职场社交挂钩,对职场错失恐惧的研究应留意本土化情境的差别,尤其需全力构建其双刃剑模型,以实现其正向潜能的最大化,实现员工心理幸福与组织效率的和谐契合。
Abstract: This study aims to explore Workplace Fear of Missing Out (WFoMO)—a critical psychological phenomenon in the digital workplace—to clarify its theoretical mechanisms, influencing factors, and complex consequences. This paper first defines the concept of WFoMO, then analyzes its internal mechanisms based on four major theoretical frameworks, including the Conservation of Resources Theory and Social Comparison Theory. Subsequently, it synthesizes the multiple driving factors of WFoMO from technological, organizational environment, and individual trait perspectives. The findings reveal that WFoMO exhibits a significant “Dual-edged Sword Effect”: on one hand, it acts as a powerful stressor leading to burnout, perceived overload, and reduced information security awareness; on the other hand, in moderate contexts, it also serves as a positive driver, promoting organizational innovation and workplace social connectivity. Therefore, its intervention strategies must be implemented collaboratively at both the organizational and individual levels. Looking ahead, WFoMO research should focus on localized contextual differences, emphasizing the construction of its Dual-edged Sword Model to maximize its positive potential and achieve a harmonious integration of employee psychological well-being and organizational efficiency.
