多模态话语分析视角下电影《长安的荔枝》字幕翻译研究

A Study on The Subtitle Translation of The Lychee Road from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis

摘要: 本文采用多模态话语分析理论框架，从文化、语境、内容和表达四个层面对影片《长安的荔枝》的字幕翻译进行深入剖析。通过分析发现，该影片在文化层面注重保留中国传统文化元素，但同时也兼顾了目标观众的文化接受度；在语境层面，则巧妙地处理了高语境与低语境文化之间的差异；在内容层面，影片的字幕通过精准的语言转换和视觉呈现，增强了叙事效果和影片的可观赏性；在表达层面，则通过直接与间接表达的结合，提升了电影主题的传递效率。研究结果表明，优秀的影视字幕翻译不仅需要准确传达原文信息，还需考虑文化差异、语境适应性和表达方式的多样性。本研究为后续相关电影字幕制作者提供了可借鉴的分析和实证案例，帮助破除不同文化背景下观众的语言障碍，以期推动该影片在国际上的传播。

Abstract: This article employs the theoretical framework of multimodal discourse analysis to conduct an in-depth analysis of the subtitle translation in the film of The Lychee Road from four levels: culture, context, content, and expression. Through this analysis, it has been found that the film pays great attention to preserving traditional Chinese cultural elements while also taking into account the cultural acceptability of the target audience; at the level of context, it skillfully addresses the differences between high-context and low-context cultures; at the level of content, the subtitles of the film enhance narrative effectiveness and the movie’s appeal through precise language conversion and visual presentation; at the level of expression, a combination of direct and indirect expressions improves the transmission efficiency of the film’s theme. The results indicate that excellent film subtitle translation not only needs to accurately convey the original information but also requires consideration of cultural differences, contextual adaptability, and diversity in expression methods. Then this study provides reference analyses and empirical cases for subsequent filmmakers working on subtitle production, aiming to help break down language barriers across different cultural backgrounds and promote the international dissemination of the film.
