概念整合理论下《山海经》王赵译本隐喻翻译研究
A Study on Metaphor Translation in the Wang and Zhao English Version of Shan Hai Jing from the Perspective of Conceptual Blending Theory
摘要: 《山海经》是研究中国古代神话的瑰宝，富含神话意象与文化隐喻，如何准确英译这些信息是跨文化传递的难点所在。本研究以概念整合理论为框架，对《山海经》王宏与赵峥英译本的隐喻翻译展开深入探析。研究旨在分析译者在翻译过程中的认知运作机制，进一步揭示译者是如何通过构建心理空间、实现跨空间映射，最终在不同文化语境中实现隐喻意义的有效传递。
Abstract: The Classic of Mountains and Seas is a seminal text for studying ancient Chinese mythology, abundant in mythical imagery and cultural metaphors. The accurate translation of these elements presents a persistent challenge in cross-cultural communication. This study adopts Conceptual Blending Theory as its framework to examine how Wang Hongyin and Zhao Yuming navigate these challenges in their English translation of the text. By analyzing the cognitive mechanisms underlying their translation decisions, this research illuminates how translators construct mental spaces and establish cross-space mappings to effectively convey metaphorical meaning across cultural boundaries.
