变译理论视角下的国漫电影字幕英译——以《哪吒之魔童闹海》为例

English Subtitling of Chinese Animated Films from the Perspective of Variation Translation Theory—A Case Study of Ne Zha 2

摘要: 在全球化背景下，文化传播是塑造国家形象、提升文化软实力的重要途径。对于优秀的国产动画电影，要走向海外市场，字幕英译是跨越语言障碍的桥梁。然而，字幕英译也面临着诸多挑战，如语言表达的多样性、文化差异的处理等。本文在变译理论的指导下，以《哪吒之魔童闹海》的字幕英译为例，分析多种变通手段的运用，从而拓展变译理论的应用范围，为国漫电影字幕翻译提供借鉴。

Abstract: In the context of globalization, cultural communication has become an important means of shaping national image and enhancing cultural soft power. For high-quality domestic animated films to enter the international market, English subtitles serve as a key bridge across language barriers. However, the subtitling of such films faces multiple challenges, including diversified linguistic expressions and the handling of cultural differences. Guided by Variation Translation Theory, this paper takes the English subtitles of Ne Zha 2 as its case study and examines the use of various adaptive translation strategies. The aim is to expand the application scope of variation translation theory and provide practical implications for the English subtitling of Chinese animated films.
