The Psychological Interpretation of Aristotle’s Concept of Technē

摘要: 亚里士多德的“灵魂学”解释了作为理性活动的“技艺”以何种方式运作实现。他将灵魂视为生命与运动的本原，其中“心灵”负责判断、计算与思虑等理性功能，为“技艺”提供内在的发生机制。“技艺”的形成涉及“感觉”、“记忆”、“经验”等环节，通过“三段论”形成“技艺知识”保存在灵魂中。作为灵魂中的“品质”，“技艺”体现了理性对行动的中道把握，既不同于经验的偶然性，也有别于德性的道德性。“技艺”从“知识”形成到实际“筹划”，均依赖“心灵”的运作。

Abstract: Aristotle’s “psychology of the soul” explains how technē—as a mode of rational activity—operates and is actualized. He regards the soul as the principle of life and motion, within which the nous (intellect) is responsible for rational functions such as judgment, calculation, and deliberation, thus providing the inner mechanism for the emergence of technē. The formation of technē involves the processes of sensation, memory, and experience, through which “technical knowledge” is generated by syllogistic reasoning and preserved within the soul. As a hexis (habitual disposition) of the soul, technē embodies the rational grasp of the mean in action—distinct from the contingency of experience and from the moral nature of virtue. From the generation of knowledge to the stage of practical planning, technē depends entirely on the operation of the intellect.
