新亚里士多德修辞学在儿童教育主题演讲中的应用——以联合国常务副秘书长儿童教育主题的演讲为例
The Application of Neo-Aristotle Rhetoric in the Children’s Education Speech—A Case Study of the UN Deputy Secretary-General’s Speech on the Theme of Children’s Education
摘要: 传统的亚里士多德修辞学着重围绕言语修辞里的人品诉诸、理性诉诸和情感诉诸这三种基本诉诸模式来开展。新亚里士多德修辞学是古典修辞学在现代的关键发展形式,它在保留亚里士多德原先的三种诉诸模式之时,又创新性地把语言修辞归入自身的理论架构当中。凭借新亚里士多德修辞学的理论体系,本文针对联合国常务副秘书长有关儿童教育话题的公开讲话进行系统的修辞剖析,探究其语言修辞当中的语音策略、词汇策略、句法策略,以及言语修辞中的人品诉诸、理性诉诸与情感诉诸,试图考察国际组织在儿童教育问题上所采用的修辞策略特点,从而充实教育主题演讲方面的修辞评价手段。
Abstract: Traditional Aristotelian rhetoric centers on three fundamental modes of persuasion: ethos, logos, and pathos. Neo-Aristotelian rhetoric, as a pivotal modern development of classical rhetoric, innovatively incorporates linguistic rhetoric into its theoretical framework while preserving Aristotle’s original three modes. Using the theoretical system of Neo-Aristotelian rhetoric, this paper conducts a systematic rhetorical analysis of the UN Deputy Secretary-General’s public speech on children’s education. It explores phonological strategies, lexical strategies, and syntactic strategies in the speech’s language rhetoric, as well as ethos, logos, and pathos in its speech rhetoric. The study aims to examine the characteristics of rhetorical strategies employed by international organizations in addressing children’s education issues, thereby enriching the rhetorical evaluation methods for educational keynote speeches.
