生态翻译学视角下文化负载词翻译研究——以美版《甄嬛传》为例
A Study on the Translation of Culture-Loaded Words from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology—A Case Study of the American Version of Empresses in the Palace
摘要: 在全球文化交融日益深化的背景下,各国之间的文化交流愈发频繁。影视作品作为文化传播的重要载体,也在这一过程中持续流动与共享。值得关注的是,在影视作品的跨国传播中,中国影视作品的对外传播亟须解决文化负载词的翻译难题。本文以中国宫廷剧《甄嬛传》的对外传播为例,立足于生态翻译学理论框架,以《甄嬛传》为具体研究对象,探讨中国宫廷剧中文化负载词的英译策略。通过深入分析剧中的典型文化负载词实例,从语言维度、文化维度和交际维度三个层面出发,考察译者在适应翻译生态环境过程中所采取的策略选择,以期为今后中国宫廷剧的外译工作提供参考,助力中国文化的国际传播,进一步促进中外文化交流。
Abstract: Against the backdrop of the deepening integration of global cultures, cultural exchanges between countries have become increasingly frequent. As important carriers of cultural communication, film and television works continue to circulate and be shared in this process. Notably, in the cross-border dissemination of film and television works, the external communication of Chinese film and television productions is in urgent need of addressing the translation challenges of culture-loaded words. Taking the international communication of the Chinese palace drama Empresses in the Palace as an example, this paper is based on the theoretical framework of eco-translatology and takes Empresses in the Palace as the specific research object to explore the English translation strategies of culture-loaded words in Chinese palace dramas. By conducting an in-depth analysis of typical examples of culture-loaded words in the drama, this paper examines the strategic choices made by translators in the process of adapting to the translation eco-environment from three dimensions: linguistic, cultural, and communicative. It aims to provide references for the future English translation of Chinese palace dramas, facilitate the international dissemination of Chinese culture, and further promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
