基于英语学习活动观的高中英语阅读5E教学模式探究——以人教版必修一Unit 1 Reading and Thinking为例

Exploring the 5E Instructional Model for High School English Reading within the Framework of Activity-Based English Learning—A Case Study of Reading and Thinking in Unit 1, PEP Compulsory Textbook 1

摘要: 目前，高中英语阅读教学仍存在机械化、碎片化问题。这种教学模式下，学生的阅读能力和思维品质得不到有效提升。针对这一现象，本文提出了基于英语学习活动观的5E阅读教学模式，通过将学习理解类活动、应用实践类活动和迁移创新类活动融入5E教学模式的五个环节：吸引(Engagement)、探究(Exploration)、解释(Explanation)、迁移(Elaboration)和评价(Evaluation)中，并提供了具体案例以期提高学生的英语学科核心素养。

Abstract: Currently, high school English reading instruction often suffers from mechanization and fragmentation. This teaching approach fails to effectively enhance students’ reading proficiency and cognitive development. To solve this issue, this paper proposes a 5E instructional model for reading grounded in the Activity-Based English Learning Approach. It integrates the three categories of learning activities—learning and understanding, applying and practicing, and transferring and innovating—into the five phases of the 5E model: Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, and Evaluation. Concrete teaching examples are provided with the aim of improving students’ key competencies in the English subject.
